This excellent item adjusts at the top using the knurled plastic key in the photograph. The secondary detail photograph shows the top part of the inner rod just above the Nyloc nut upon which the key sits.
The custom KSX range for rare or non Spax serviced Classics use the same internals with 28 clicks from soft to hard.
So if you going to Prescott for the hill climb, lift the bonnet, remove the rubber turret blanking grommet, turn the strut inner rod with the key, and you are ready to drive the hill, without having to worry about doing a waltz on the way up.
When you have finished , up with the bonnet and reset for the Motorway.
Same for a track day or even a drive in the country lanes.

This is an original Spax design and we have been advised by Spax that any other similar items from other makers are inferior imitations of their original design, allegedly.
Please note :-
We have heard reports of excessive stiffness. This can caused by other parts of the suspension.
To check a Spax adjustable damper for correct operation, set to softest and bounce test on the wing once. Click up 14 clicks test again and there should be a noticeable difference.
If not, the suspension stiffness is being affected by components other than the damper.
