Grub Screw Needle Locating 518653

Grub Screw with slotted head used for maintaining the axial orientation of a metering needle in a Stromberg Carburettor Air Valve.
They should be screwed fully home but not overtightened.
The the peg nose of this screw is spring loaded and locates into the groove of the needle housing.
This arrangement maintains the orientation of the needle housing when the mixture is adjusted.
Check the needle housing is free to move vertically and is not locked by the grub screw which may happen if the Air Valve has been damaged.
